Optical Benefits

The SBA is pleased to announce Davis Vision as our new eye care provider.



This benefit is designed to provide coverage of optical services rendered to eligible participants by an optometrist or ophthalmologist. This includes examinations, frames and lenses.

Eligibility
All retired members and their dependents, who are otherwise considered eligible to participate in the SBA’s Retired H&W plans, are entitled to this benefit as described in the Eligbility FAQs section.

Extent of optical coverage
For Plan A participants, optical benefits consist of one eye examination and one pair of eyeglasses every 24 months.

For Plan B participants, optical benefits consist of one eye examination and one pair of eyeglasses every 12 months.
